Online in Ontario
Fallsview Casino and Ontario iGaming Rules
The two casinos at the falls, Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara, are buildings with doors and a gaming floor. Online casino play in Ontario runs under its own rules, set out below.

Ontario's regulated online market
Regulated online casino play in Ontario began with the market's opening on April 4, 2022. The AGCO regulates the market; the letters stand for Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. A private operator must hold AGCO registration first, then sign an operating contract with iGaming Ontario. Anyone checking who qualifies can consult igamingontario.ca, where the iGaming Ontario directory serves as the official list.
Two conditions apply to every player. They have to be at least 19, matching the minimum age at both casinos at the falls. They must also be physically in Ontario when a bet is placed.
Sites inside the regulated market display the iGaming Ontario and BetGuard logos. The logos are a first check, and the directory remains the official list. OLG.ca is the government-run site.
BetGuard and My PlayBreak
BetGuard, at betguard.ca, is iGaming Ontario's self-exclusion portal, launched on May 14, 2026. With one request, a person is excluded from each regulated online gambling site across Ontario, including OLG.ca. The minimum age to use it is 19. A term may last 5 years, 1 year or 6 months, or run for a custom length. Land-based casinos lie outside its coverage.
For Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara, the program is My PlayBreak, OLG's self-exclusion for Ontario casinos. A casino break runs 1 to 5 years, or 3 or 6 months, and closes every Ontario casino to the person. People enrol at a PlaySmart Centre, with staff on site, or by calling the OLG Support Centre line, 1-800-387-0098. Terms cannot be cancelled once made.
How this guide is paid
Each paid link is flagged Ad, and the home page is where all three are found. A visitor will meet a button in the menu, a panel just under the opening screen, and a link near the close of the page. Beyond those links, the Falls Weekend Guide stands apart; it is no casino, no hotel, and neither casino's website. No wager can be placed with it, and no account can be opened.
Every one of those links reaches a single partner, an online casino under private ownership that pays commissions to the guide and is open to change. To verify any online site, including this partner, a reader can search the iGaming Ontario directory at igamingontario.ca.
Questions before the weekend
Is online casino play legal in Ontario?
Yes, within the regulated market that opened on April 4, 2022. A private operator has to be registered by the AGCO and bound by an iGaming Ontario operating agreement. OLG.ca is the government-run site.
Can someone in Buffalo play on an Ontario site?
Not from Buffalo itself, since a bet can only be placed by someone physically in Ontario. Players must also be 19 or older.
How can someone check an online casino site?
The official list is kept by iGaming Ontario in its directory at igamingontario.ca. Regulated Ontario sites also display the iGaming Ontario and BetGuard logos. The AGCO is the regulator.
Does BetGuard cover Fallsview and Casino Niagara?
BetGuard does not cover them, or any other land-based casino. It covers regulated online gambling sites in Ontario, OLG.ca included. Self-exclusion from the casinos runs through OLG's My PlayBreak program, handled at a PlaySmart Centre or by the OLG Support Centre on 1-800-387-0098.
